    Bilateral cooperation with Kyrgyzstan discussed in Hungary

    As part of a working visit to Hungary, First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Daniyar Amangeldiev held a meeting with Minister of National Economy of Hungary Marton Nagy.

    During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues of mutual interest, including cooperation in trade, economic, investment, logistics, and migration spheres.

    First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Daniyar Amangeldiev noted with satisfaction the dynamic development of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary, based on strategic partnership and support from the heads of the two states. He conveyed greetings and best wishes from President Sadyr Japarov to Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban.

    During the talks, current issues of developing trade and economic cooperation were discussed, including within the framework of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund.

    The agricultural sector and energy were identified as priority areas for joint implementation of projects within the framework of the fund.

    In this regard, an agreement was reached on the Hungarian side to consider projects prepared by the Kyrgyz side.

    The parties discussed in detail the possibilities of expanding the activities of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian Development Fund in light of the upcoming increase in the fund's authorized capital by $34 million. Daniyar Amangeldiev expressed confidence that the effective development of these funds will open up new prospects for the implementation of strategically important joint projects that will help strengthen economic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary.

    The meeting also discussed the prospects for cooperation in the activities of the Kyrgyz Trading Company OJSC.

    In addition, Daniyar Amangeldiev emphasized the need for further joint systematic work to increase the volume of bilateral trade.

    In the field of labor migration, the parties discussed issues related to the employment of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic in Hungary, and an agreement was reached to continue joint work to conclude a relevant agreement on the merits of this issue.

    Marton Nagy, in turn, noted that "Kyrgyzstan is a friend of Hungary" and expressed the readiness of the Hungarian side to fully support initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and implementing joint mutually beneficial projects.

    The meeting was also attended by the Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in Hungary Endre Erdos.
