02/26/2025, 13:50At the end of 2024, Kyrgyzstan showed some of the best economic results in the Eurasian Economic Union. The Republic became a leader in five out of nine key socio-economic indicators. The data is confirmed by the statistics of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
Thus, Kyrgyzstan's gross domestic product increased by 9%, which was the highest indicator. The growth is 4.8 percentage points ahead of the Union average. The closest EAEU partner with a high indicator is Armenia, where GDP grew by 6%. Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan have half the Kyrgyz rate, at 4%, 4.1% and 4.8% respectively.
Kyrgyzstan also showed the best results in industrial production, increasing its output by 5.5%. The second indicator belongs to Belarus, 5.4%. At the same time, Armenia (4.7% growth) in industrial production growth was ahead of us by 0.8 percentage points, Russia (4.6%) - by 0.9 p.p., and Kazakhstan (2.7%) more than twice as much.
As for investments in fixed capital, the republic is unrivaled here. The growth is 52.1%. At the same time, the second highest result, which belongs to Armenia, is only 15.9%, while the average for the EAEU is 8.2%.
In addition, Kyrgyzstan is the leader in the growth of cargo turnover, up 6% with the EEU average of 0.6% (in Armenia, the indicator went into negative by 1.3%), in the growth of retail trade turnover (+14.6%).
