Kyrgyzstan may offer Slovakia labor force and access to the Central Asian market

Kyrgyzstan offers Slovak businesses access to Central Asian markets and favorable conditions for investment. This was stated by Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov during the Kyrgyzstan-Slovakia business forum held in Bishkek.

He emphasized that Slovakia's experience in the fields of mechanical engineering, information technology, medicine, water management, energy, environmental protection, and waste management is of particular interest to the Kyrgyz economy.

At the same time, according to the minister, Kyrgyzstan can offer Slovakia access to promising markets in Central Asia, a skilled workforce, attractive tax regimes, and rich natural resources.

He emphasized that the Kyrgyz side welcomes initiatives to establish joint ventures, exchange experience, and expand business contacts.

The minister also spoke about the results of economic reforms. According to him, Kyrgyzstan has successfully raised its credit rating to B with a “stable” outlook, as assessed by Standard & Poor's. As part of industrialization, 102 industrial enterprises began operations last year, and another 128 are planned to be launched this year.

In addition, Kyrgyzstan offers incentives for investors, including tax breaks for up to five years in priority sectors, simplified taxation, and exemptions on imports of green energy equipment. Active work is also underway to develop the creative economy and digital infrastructure—in April this year alone, a new IT hub was opened with the participation of the country's president.

“Kyrgyzstan is a small but ambitious country in the heart of Central Asia. We are open to cooperation and ready to support businesses at all stages of their development,” said Bakyt Sydykov.
