The role of business and employers in solving problems in the labour market was discussed in Bishkek

Today, on 5 February, the First Deputy Minister of Labour, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan Mukhtarbek Baimurzaev spoke at the National Forum ‘Innovations in Education: employers and business associations as drivers of development and transformation of non-formal education’.

In his speech, the Deputy Minister stressed the importance of this forum, focusing on the key role of business associations and employers in solving current problems in the labour market of Kyrgyzstan.

‘The Ministry is actively engaged in non-formal education, working closely with the business community and directing efforts to improve the processes of training and retraining. In this context, non-formal education programmes contribute to reducing unemployment and improving the quality of the labour market,’ said Mukhtarbek Baimurzaev.

The Deputy Minister also noted the need to further strengthen cooperation between state bodies and private institutions in order to develop and implement educational programmes that meet national and international standards.

‘Our main goal is to work together with business associations and employers to develop new relevant educational programmes and work on their implementation,’ he added.

During the forum, experts presented their proposals for the development of non-formal education, and there was an exchange of experience among the participants. The forum brought together representatives of the public and private sector, as well as international experts.

The event aimed to highlight the importance of non-formal education for the professional development of employees and organisations, as well as to identify key areas for its improvement, including the role of employers in building skills through non-formal learning. The Forum has become an important platform for sharing successful experiences, identifying barriers and challenges, evaluating the effectiveness of educational programmes, as well as for developing recommendations on the implementation of non-formal learning strategies and building partnerships between employers, educational providers and professional communities.
