At the Asian Financial Forum in Hong Kong, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev met with Ernesto Torres Cantu, Head of the International Division of Citibank. The meeting was devoted to the prospects of cooperation, including issuance of Eurobonds and establishment of correspondent relations with international banks.

Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized the key role of Citibank in the upcoming Eurobond issue, where the bank will act as the lead coordinator and bookrunner. He also noted the interest of Kyrgyz commercial banks, such as Eldik Bank and Aiyl Bank, in establishing correspondent relations with Citibank.

The parties paid special attention to strengthening the interaction between the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan and Citibank in 2024. Ernesto Torres Cantu expressed confidence in the great potential for the development of financial relations with Kyrgyzstan, emphasizing that the issue of Eurobonds will be an important step in strengthening economic cooperation.

Both sides expressed confidence that the new steps in cooperation will strengthen economic ties and open up prospects for further success.
