04/05/2025, 10:00The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan published data on interbank currency transactions for the period from 31 March to 4 April.
The US dollar exchange rate remained stable, trading in a narrow range from 86.65 to 86.80 soms. For the last three days in a row, the closing rate was fixed at 86.80, which indicates the absence of volatility and a balanced ratio of supply and demand.
At the same time with the stability of the rate there is a gradual decline in the volume of trades. If on April 1 the total volume of deals with settlements ‘today’ and ‘on the date’ reached $9.1 m., then by April 4 it decreased to $5.8 m. It may indicate the decrease in short-term market activity and more restrained demand of the market participants.
The most active day of the week was April 1, when the highest volume of transactions was recorded, as well as the only change in the rate during the week: from 86.65 at the opening to 86.80 at the closing.
On all other days the rate remained unchanged during the day, and the structure of deals with settlements on different dates indicates balanced activity of the participants.
