Kyrgyzstan and Iran discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev held a meeting with Deputy First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran for International Affairs and Regional Cooperation Ali Najafi Khoshroudi.

During the talks, a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, including trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation were discussed.

Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized Kyrgyzstan's readiness to strengthen relations with Iran and noted the importance of the visit of the Iranian delegation to agree on further steps in cooperation.

Ali Najafi Khoshrudi, in turn, expressed Iran's interest in deepening partnership with Kyrgyzstan, especially in view of Iran's status as an observer state at the EAEU. He confirmed the readiness to work on the implementation of the plans.

The Iranian side invited the Kyrgyz delegation to the international exhibition “Iran Expo - 2025” to be held on April 27-28, and also offered to hold a regular meeting of the Joint Kyrgyz-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission.

The parties outlined key areas for further cooperation and expressed mutual interest in developing friendly ties in both bilateral and multilateral formats.

It should be noted that the visit of the Iranian delegation was the result of agreements reached at the meeting of Adylbek Kasymaliyev with the First Vice President of Iran Mohammad Reza Aref within the framework of the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, held in Almaty on January 30-31 this year.
