The Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy presented for public discussion a financial plan that could become the basis for the development of culture, sports and information environment of Kyrgyzstan in the coming years.

Thus, within the medium-term strategy of budget expenditures, the amounts to be allocated to the key programs of the ministry are already known: in 2026 - 6.85 billion KGS, in 2027 - a little more than 6.85 billion KGS, and by 2028 the budget will grow to 7.4 billion KGS.

The largest share of funding in the context of programs is in the direction of “Preservation and development of culture, art and information environment” - 45.1%. Significant funds are also provided for the program “Development of physical culture and mass sports” - 31%, and 20.3% are allocated for education in the field of culture and art. The smallest share falls on the program “Management and Administration” - 3.6%.

It should be noted that the overall increase in expenditures for all programs is associated not only with the new goals, but also with the already implemented increase in salaries of employees of culture, sports and information. Recall that from April 2022, by decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the conditions of labor remuneration were improved. This is a decision that should retain professional staff in these areas and increase the prestige of work in public institutions.
