    How many cars have been legalized? Almost 2.2 thousand - and that's just for one stage

    As of April 23, 2025, 2,195 cars with foreign license plates have been legalized in Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the State Agency for Transport Registration under the Cabinet of Ministers.

    Among them:

    • 1,200 cars with engine up to 2,000 cc - the budget received 60 million soms;
    • 995 cars with engines over 2,000 cc - collected 99.5 million soms.
    • Total - almost 160 million soms of revenues.

    The process of legalization continues, and the authorities expect that by May this amount will grow even more. Recall, the program was launched for those who imported a car before December 12, 2022 and did not have time to register it under the new rules.
