New traffic scheme around “Alamedin” market: get ready for changes from January 1

Bishkek City Hall is launching a pilot project to change the traffic organization scheme around the popular Alamedin market from January 1, 2025. The changes are aimed at reducing traffic congestion, increasing capacity and improving road safety.

According to the new scheme, one-way traffic will be introduced on Musa Jalil Street in the eastern direction with a subsequent continuation along Budennogo Street. To implement the changes, the installation of road signs, markings, installation of fences and elimination of parking pockets on Zhibek-Zholu Avenue and Kurmanjan Datka Street are envisaged.

It is important to note that the measures are also aimed at maintaining a stable interval of public transportation.

The project was developed by the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development of the Bishkek Mayor's Office and agreed with the Department of Internal Affairs of the city, as well as experts from the I. Razzakov KSTU.
