04/04/2025, 12:37First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Daniyar Amangeldiev held a meeting with representatives of Japanese companies to discuss the current state and prospects of bilateral economic co-operation.
The sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues, including opportunities for investment, tourism development, cooperation in banking, medicine, energy and digital economy.
Daniyar Amangeldiev emphasised the dynamic nature of Kyrgyz-Japanese relations, highlighting the significance of the official visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Japan in November 2023, during which key agreements on deepening economic cooperation were reached.
During the meeting, the progress of a number of joint projects was discussed, including the construction of a year-round resort complex CI Resort for 300 residential houses in the ethno-complex ‘Aalam Ordo’ in the Issyk-Kul region, which will be an important step in the development of tourism infrastructure in the region.
Introduction of an advanced system of electronic residency (e-Residency) in Kyrgyzstan, which opens up opportunities for foreign investors to remotely register companies, open bank accounts and conduct business online, which will significantly simplify the investment process.
Development of modern payment systems based on QR codes, which will improve the convenience and efficiency of financial transactions.
Implementation of projects in the sphere of health care, aimed at creating modern diagnostic centres and training qualified medical personnel.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers has confirmed the readiness of the country to create the most favourable conditions for Japanese investors, including provision of tax benefits, simplification of administrative procedures and reliable protection of investors' rights. He stressed that Kyrgyzstan offers the most liberal tax regime in Central Asia, a favourable geographical location and a favourable business environment.
