Kyrgyzstan and China Sign Cooperation Memorandum on Poverty Reduction

Kyrgyzstan and China signed a memorandum of co-operation on poverty reduction. The document was signed by the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China during President Sadyr Zhaparov's visit to Beijing.

The agreement envisages joint projects in agriculture, exchange of experience and professional development of specialists. Kyrgyzstan will be able to study and apply Chinese methods of poverty alleviation, which have already shown their effectiveness.

The Chinese side is ready to share knowledge on rural development, support for farmers and job creation. In the long term, this will help improve the living standards of Kyrgyz people, especially in rural areas.

The signing of the memorandum opens up new opportunities for economic co-operation between the countries. Kyrgyzstan expects that the implementation of joint projects will not only reduce poverty but also attract additional investment.
