03/28/2025, 10:09According to the Ministry of Finance, in January-February this year, the budget received 2 billion 581.6 million KGS in the form of tax on gross income from the activities of the Kumtor gold mining enterprise. This is twice as much as in the same period of 2024, when revenues amounted to 1 billion 245.9 million KGS.
The entire amount, as a year earlier, went to the republican budget, while local budgets did not receive deductions.
At the same time, Kumtor paid 1 billion 63.6 million KGS to the budget as gross profit tax in January and another 1 billion 518.01 million KGS in February.
At the same time, in January-February 2024, the enterprise transferred 184 KGS for the development of mineral resource base of the Kyrgyz Republic, while in 2025 there were no such revenues yet.
