Reconstruction of the Balykchi-Bokonbaevo-Karakol highway, an important transportation route that connects major regions of the country, continues in Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyz Zhol Kurulush is carrying out the work on the 25-kilometer section.

At the moment, the first layer of crushed stone-mastic asphalt concrete has been laid at 24.3 kilometers, the second layer - at 19 kilometers. It is expected that the laying of the second layer will be completed in the near future. The construction of the railroad bridge has also been completed. Work on this section is scheduled to be completed by January 1, 2025.

On the section from 25 to 71 kilometers, the first layer of asphalt was laid on 14.6 kilometers, the second layer (SHMA) - on 3.2 kilometers. Work on this section will be completed by April 8, 2025. The third section, from 71 to 96.37 kilometers, is also under the control of Kyrgyz Zhol Kurulush. Excavation works such as clearing, grubbing and embankment preparation are underway here. Completion is scheduled for June 30, 2025.

The fourth section, from 96.37 kilometers to 126.37 kilometers, is being constructed by Arek Stroy. On this section, the first layer of asphalt has been laid at 10.4 kilometers. Full completion is also expected by June 30, 2025.

On the fifth section, from 126.37 kilometers to 141.64 kilometers, the contractor is SE “Kyrgyzavtozhol-North”. Active concreting, earthworks, and preparation of anti-icing materials are underway. The works on this section should be completed by June 30, 2025.
