Previously, excisable goods, such as alcohol and tobacco, were subject to restrictions and could not be processed under the simplified procedure. Now these restrictions have been removed, allowing economic operators (such as large companies that work with customs) to release such goods more quickly.
“These changes expand the possibilities of the simplified procedure and make the process more convenient for businesses. This is in line with modern international standards,” explained Ruslan Davydov, EEC Minister for Customs Cooperation.
The application for release of goods prior to declaration is a simplified document that allows for faster release of goods through customs. It is filled out by economic operators who are granted certain privileges, and it contains the minimum data required for control.
