    Alcohol and tobacco prices will rise most in Kyrgyzstan in 2024

    In 2024, the overall increase in consumer prices and tariffs in Kyrgyzstan was 6.3% compared to December 2023. The largest price increase affected alcoholic beverages and tobacco products, the prices for which increased by 11.4%. Food products and non-alcoholic beverages went up by 5.4%, non-food products - by 5.1%, and tariffs for services for the population - by 8.1%.

    In December 2024, price growth was recorded in all regions of the country, but the most significant increase was noted in Issyk-Kul region, where the price level increased by 7.7%. The region recorded the maximum increase in prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products (15.1%) and tariffs for services (10.7%).

    In Bishkek, the highest price increase affected food products and soft drinks, where the increase was 6.7%. In Osh city, the maximum price increase was observed for non-food products - 8%.
