    People in need have been able to earn $327.2 thousand in the Alai district

    Several socially significant initiatives have been completed as part of the Ministry of Labour's project ‘Products in exchange for labour’ in the Alai district. A total of 1,195 people took part in the work. 

    The programme participants significantly contributed to the region's infrastructure development by installing water pipes, building gabion nets, bridges, reservoirs and fish ponds, as well as strengthening the coastline, asphalting walkways, digging canals and other improvements.

    Residents were rewarded $327.2 thousand for their participation in the work, providing important financial support for families. In addition to the cash payment, the participants were provided with food also - each received 300 kilograms of flour and 30 litres of oil.

    The project paid special attention to supporting the relocated Pamir Kyrgyz. To improve their employment prospects, the Ministry of Labour provided training: 15 people learned sewing and driving skills, which will enable them to successfully integrate into the labour market and improve their financial situation.
