Flats in a premium-class residential complex were received for state revenue

The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic has received 20 premium class flats and commercial premises as part of a criminal case on the illegal transfer of a land plot in the southern part of Bishkek for construction.

In particular, in 2005, when the Bishkek Mayor's Office transferred the land plot to construction companies, a contract was concluded with the condition that the municipality would receive 13 per cent of the housing built. However, using corrupt connections, the obligation was excluded from the contract through a court judgement. Subsequently, the plot was resold to third parties who were misled.

In the course of the investigation it was established that at present on the plot of 0.75 hectare the construction company ‘B*’ is building a residential complex ‘President’ consisting of 3 blocks with premium class flats. A total of 151 flats will be built.

The construction company ‘B*’, being a bona fide buyer, voluntarily transferred to the state 14% (including the redemption value of the land plot), i.e. 20 flats and 2 commercial premises with a total area of 2 thousand 285 square metres.
