01/10/2025, 20:59In Kyrgyzstan, a decrease in prices for motor fuel has been recorded. The first reports about it appeared in social networks from motorists, then the information was confirmed by oil traders.
Today, according to the National Statistical Committee, the average national cost of a liter of gasoline Ai-95 is 72.15 KGS, which is 0.86 KGS lower than in December, when it was 73.01 KGS.
Thus, the decrease in prices for motor fuel began in December last year. In the last month of 2024, the average price of a liter of Ai-95 was 1.2 KGS lower than in November (74.21 KGS). During the same period, gasoline Ai-92 fell in price more significantly: from 67.33 to 65.07 KGS per liter (-2.26 KGS). This year, the downward trend continued. Already on January 1, Ai-95 fell in price by 0.31 KGS, and Ai-92 - by 0.32 KGS.
In Bishkek on January 10, the average cost of Ai-95 in the city is 71.46 KGS per liter, and Ai-92 - 62.89 KGS. Compared to January 1 prices, it is 1.3 KGS less.
At the same time, large gas stations report a price reduction by 3 KGS. Gazprom” told ‘Akchabar’ that gasoline Ai-92 is sold at 62.4 KGS per liter, and Ai-95 - at 70.4 KGS. In the morning of January 9, the price of Ai-95 was 73.4 KGS. On January 10, gasoline Ai-95 is sold even cheaper, at 69.4 KGS at Red Petroleum gas stations.
According to representatives of oil traders, the price reduction is due to seasonal discounts aimed at selling off fuel and lubricants (POL) residues. However, market participants warn that the cost of fuel is likely to rise as sales of old stocks come to an end.
