    In Kyrgyzstan, 106 water reservoirs are planned to be constructed by 2028

    In Kyrgyzstan by 2028 it is planned to build 106 reservoirs with a total capacity of 987 million m3 to supply water to 223.7 thousand hectares of irrigated land. This is reported by the Eurasian Development Bank. 

    Also by this date it is planned to install drip and sprinkler irrigation systems on an additional 120-200 thousand hectares, restoration of 1 thousand 800 water wells and repair of 120 pumping stations. 

    It is noted that during the year to support the irrigation fund was allocated 1 billion KGS for the purchase of special equipment.
