City-wide budget hearings on the draft budget of Bishkek city for 2025 were held in the conference hall of the cultural centre of KTU ‘Manas’, where citizens, heads of the municipality, as well as representatives of the city and district services of Bishkek were invited.

Budget hearings were held under the leadership of the Chairman of Bishkek City Kenesh Bekzhan Usenaliev, with the participation of Bishkek Mayor Aibek Junushaliev, deputy chairmen of the BHC and the Chairman of the Budget Commission.

Mayor Aibek Junushaliev presented the draft budget of the capital for 2025 and stressed that the actual revenue collection in Bishkek for 2024 was 37 billion 47.2 million KGS, the plan was fulfilled by 101.6%.

Budget execution allowed to successfully implement major social and infrastructure projects. In 2024, six main roads were repaired, 785 buses were purchased, ‘Ala-Too’ square was reconstructed, flagpole was renewed, ‘Alga’ sports complex and other objects were repaired. Municipal enterprises purchased 222 units of special equipment.
The revenue part of the local budget of Bishkek for 2025 is projected at 23 billion 625.6 million KGS.

Budget funds will be used to improve and build road and transport infrastructure and engineering networks. For major repairs and construction of new social facilities, landscaping and gardening of districts, as well as for other socially important projects.

During the hearings, the citizens asked questions and received answers from representatives of the municipality and deputies of the BHC.
