Drivers disqualified for drunken driving continue to drive while showing their licence through Tүndүc

Today at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh MP Ernis Aidaraliev made a statement about the ineffectiveness of the law relating to drivers deprived of their licence for driving under the influence of alcohol.

According to the deputy, despite the deprivation of driving licences for a year, offenders continue to drive freely on the streets. Moreover, during inspections, some of them show their documents through the Tunduk system, which allows them to bypass the restrictions.

Ernis Aidaraliyev emphasised that this situation poses a serious threat to the safety of citizens.

‘A year has passed and the law has no effect. No one can guarantee that these drivers will not harm people's health,’ he said.

In this regard, the deputy suggested that together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs to review the current norms and develop additional mechanisms that will ensure the real implementation of the law and exclude the possibility of circumventing it.
