In connection with the presidential decree on the return of patents, the State Tax Service is preparing amendments to the Tax Code. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the State Tax Service Kubanychbek Ysabekov.

According to him, the current version of the Tax Code prohibits the use of patents in trade. Therefore, to return this form of taxation, it is necessary to make appropriate changes, which will take about two months.

‘In parallel, a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers will be developed, which will specify specific patent rates,’ Kubanychbek Ysabekov said, adding that they may depend on various factors, such as annual turnover or the area of the trading premises.

He stressed that final decisions will be made in dialogue with the business community. So far, the specific patent rates are unknown - they will become clear once the government decree is approved.
