In Kyrgyzstan, the charitable travel program has been operating since September 2023. During this time, four foundations - partners of the company have already received 4.2 thousand free trips for more than 1.6 million KGS. Tilek Sulaimanov, head of the Yandex Go service in Kyrgyzstan, told about it on the air of Europe Plus radio.
Four foundations participate in the program: First Children's Hospice, Help the Children - SKD, “Ymүt-Hope” and “Hand in Hand”.
Every month, project participants are given a certain amount of money for travel to medical institutions, schools and others. In October, the assistance program will be expanded. Partner foundations will be able to order not only trips but also deliveries and will be able to use the service to send, for example, documents, equipment and other things.
As the head of the service added, this year users of the application will also be able to participate in the annual charity campaign “Generous November”. On Fridays, the service will charge 1 som for every 10 km of travel at its own expense in favour of partner foundations. Last fall, the funds-partners received 600,000 KGS as a result of the November campaign. The campaign applies to trips in all “Yandex Go” tariffs and in all cities where the service operates.
"We are happy that other companies have begun to show interest in the ‘Generous November’ campaign. For us, this is an opportunity to popularize assistance and to demonstrate by our example that support should be systematic and it is very easy to help others,” summed up Tilek Sulaimanov.
