On April 24, the Service's employees monitored retail meat prices in Bishkek. The inspection found that boneless beef tenderloin is sold in the capital at prices ranging from 720 to 820 KGS per kilogram. At the same time, some pavilions offer subsidized meat at a fixed price of 550 KGS per kilogram.
To stabilize prices and prevent speculative growth, the Antimonopoly Regulation Service has organized social sales points. In Bishkek, beef is sold at a price of 550-600 KGS per kilogram at the Orto-Sai, Alamedin, and Osh markets. In Osh, beef and lamb cost 630-660 KGS per kilogram. Social outlets are located on Mamurova and Aini streets.
The Service has also signed an agreement with sellers in Osh to sell meat at fixed prices: beef at 630 soms per kilogram and mutton at 630 KGS per kilogram.
According to the results of weekly monitoring, the average retail prices for meat in Kyrgyzstan on April 23 were 605 to 650 KGS per kilogram for beef (with bones), depending on the region, and 595 to 650 KGS per kilogram for mutton (with bones). In Bishkek, the average price of beef is 640 KGS, and lamb is 610 KGS per kilogram.
