Sydykov proposed that Slovakia develop production and tourism in Kyrgyzstan

Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov proposed that the Slovak side consider the possibility of localizing certain production facilities in Kyrgyzstan. According to him, this would not only allow the country to adapt to changes in the global trade structure, but also to take advantage of new opportunities for exporting products.

He noted that a successful example of such an initiative was the launch of the Tulpar Motors passenger and commercial vehicle assembly plant in Kyrgyzstan. Components are manufactured in Uzbekistan and delivered to Kyrgyzstan, where assembly takes place.

Sydykov emphasized that similar production models could be implemented with Slovak companies, especially given the growing interest in Central Asia and the favorable business conditions in the region.

In addition, the minister informed Slovak businesses about projects currently being implemented in the country to improve tourism infrastructure. In particular, he mentioned the construction of five modern service centers around Lake Issyk-Kul, which are preparing to open.

“In addition, 18 new recreation centers are being built in the regions, nine of which are already complete, with the rest in the final stages of construction. These facilities should improve the comfort and quality of recreation for tourists and enhance Kyrgyzstan's appeal on the international stage,” he said.
