Several years ago, the plant began a phased modernization - all four hydroelectric units were replaced, and the control, safety and cooling systems were upgraded. In 2024, the HPP generated almost 204 million kilowatt-hours of electricity.
“TodayThe station employs 102 people. These are not only power engineers with experience, but also young specialists - 10 employees under 28 years old. There are also women, who are still few in this field,” said Muktarbek Zhundubaev, director of the HPP.
For example, the average salary of a dispatcher is about 45,000 soms, which makes working at the HPP a stable and prestigious employment option for local residents.
