01/14/2025, 14:46From 1 January 2025, electricity tariffs in Kyrgyzstan have not changed and are 1 som 11 tyyns, as at the end of 2024. This was announced by the Minister of Energy Taalaibek Ibraev at a meeting of the Fuel Energy Committee.
From May 2025, the electricity tariff for households will increase to 1 som 37 tyyns. For industrial facilities, the tariff will also increase from 3 KGS 18 to 3 KGS 49, an increase of 31 yuyn.
The Minister noted that Kyrgyzstan has one of the lowest tariffs in the post-Soviet space. For comparison, in neighbouring countries tariffs are much higher: in Uzbekistan - 2 soms 60 yuyns, in Ukraine - 3 soms 90 yuyns, in Azerbaijan - 4 soms 70 yuyns, in Kazakhstan - 4 soms 90 yuyns, and in Russia - 6 soms 6 yuyns.
