11/06/2024, 09:47Arzybek Kozhoshev, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Suheil Mohamed Al Mazroui, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates, met in Abu Dhabi on 4 November within the framework of the ADIPEC International Exhibition and Conference. The parties discussed the prospects of cooperation between the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and the UAE in the energy sector.
Minister Kojoshev presented the initiatives of the EAEU member countries, which are aimed at creating common markets for energy resources, promoting renewable energy sources and efforts to improve the climate. During the discussion, it was decided to share experience in energy saving, energy efficiency and the development of green technologies.
As part of the conference, Arzybek Kojoshev also took part in a ministerial roundtable on ‘Energy Transition, Artificial Intelligence and the Role of Developing Countries’, where he emphasised the importance of efficient management of energy resources. The forum participants noted the importance of Eurasian integration for a common energy space establishment, which will optimise the use of resources, provide access to inexpensive and reliable energy sources and improve the interconnectivity of energy systems.
Special attention was paid to the intelligent and innovative digital solution introduction in the energy sector. Artificial intelligence was recognised as a key tool, which will help create intelligent systems to adapt and predict energy consumption.
