    EAEU expects the positive trend in business activity to continue in January 2025

    The Eurasian Economic Commission has updated the short-term forecast of business activity for the states of the Eurasian Economic Union for the beginning of 2025.

    The results of the calculation of coincident and leading indicators indicate that the positive dynamics remains. At the same time, Belarus and Russia are forecasted to experience a slight slowdown in business activity growth, while Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are forecasted to accelerate their recovery.

    The Armenian economy is still likely to return to the phase of business activity recovery.

    Leading indicators are a forecasting tool used by the Commission to form an idea of the direction of business activity dynamics in the Eurasian P5 countries in the short term.

    They accumulate the most important information about short-term processes, indicating the behavior of economic agents and the main trends in the economy.
