03/25/2025, 10:18The Eurasian Economic Commission hosted a meeting between EEC Trade Minister Andrei Slepnev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Jordan to Russia Khalid Shawabka.
During the talks, the Jordanian side expressed its interest in strengthening co-operation with the Eurasian Economic Union in the field of trade and investment, as well as in concluding a free trade agreement.
«We will make every effort to work out this issue with all our countries as quickly as possible and inform Jordan about the decision», — said Andrei Slepnev.
In addition, the importance of continuing work under the existing memorandum of co-operation between the Eurasian Economic Commission and the government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, concluded in 2017, was emphasised. The initiative of the Jordanian side to intensify relevant contacts was also supported.
