04/15/2025, 12:17In the first quarter of 2025, the gross domestic product of Kyrgyzstan totalled KGS 329.1 billion. According to preliminary estimates of the National Statistical Committee, this is 13.1% more compared to the same period last year.
The main contribution to GDP growth was made by commodity production, services and growth of tax revenues on products. Commodity production increased by 22.2%, services by 8.7%, and net taxes on products rose by 12.2%.
Despite the fact that the service sector still occupies the largest share in the GDP structure - 51.0%, its value decreased by 2.9 percentage points compared to the first quarter of last year. At the same time, the share of industries producing goods, on the contrary, increased and made 31.5%. In particular, the importance of industry and construction increased, while the contribution of agriculture slightly decreased.
According to experts, GDP growth at the beginning of the year indicates recovery and intensification of economic processes, especially in the manufacturing sector.
