Today, December 16, with the participation of President Sadyr Zhaparov, a ceremony was held to hand over apartments built by the State Mortgage Company on Skryabin Street in Bishkek.

President Sadyr Zhaparov noted that for a long time providing citizens in need of housing has remained one of the main tasks facing the state. Therefore, along with other issues aimed at the development of the country, we have taken decisive steps to solve the housing issue through the state mortgage company.

At the moment, more than 40 thousand citizens are registered in the queue for housing on the basis of submitted applications throughout the country. Previously, state mortgage loans were provided through commercial banks. 

In such a situation, the shortage of housing stock in our country led to a sharp rise in housing prices. It became unaffordable for most citizens and the housing issue remained unsolved. Then, in order to help citizens and provide them with affordable housing, the state began to expand the housing stock and the construction of apartment buildings.

To date, more than 40 thousand apartments are actively under construction across the country. They will also be completed in the coming years.

“You know that these large-scale projects are realized with the financial support of the state, and significant budget funds are allocated for their construction. In addition, measures are being taken to accelerate construction works and improve their quality by attracting international and local investors. One of such large-scale projects is the construction of multi-storey mortgage buildings, which began in early 2023, the completion of which we are celebrating today at this solemn ceremony,” the President said.

On Scriabin Street, the high-rise residential complex consists of 7 blocks. Each of them has 15 floors, and a total of 549 apartments have been built. These apartments will be provided to social sphere workers, who are on the waiting list through the State Mortgage Company, as well as to our migrants and other citizens participating in the project with the condition of making a 50% equity participation in the construction.

He also noted that construction of a residential complex has begun on the site of the former Colony No. 47. After the successful completion of the first stage of this project it is planned to provide housing for thousands more citizens. He also emphasized that since our country is located in a seismically active region, great attention is paid to the quality of housing construction. All works are carried out in accordance with national construction norms and requirements, as well as international standards. In addition, emphasis is placed on the use of modern materials. The territory of this residential complex is provided with modern infrastructure: green areas for recreation, playgrounds for children, sports grounds and parking lots. All these are measures aimed at providing our citizens with durable and safe homes.

“The process of obtaining housing under the state mortgage is fully digitized. The system created provides equal opportunities for all citizens and eliminates corrupt practices. The State Mortgage Company aims to provide housing for more than 40 thousand families over the next 4-5 years,” the President said.
