State banks of Kyrgyzstan are ready to issue loans for legalisation of cars with foreign number plates

State banks of Kyrgyzstan - Eldik Bank and Aiyl Bank - will provide citizens with credit loans to pay a one-time fee for legalisation of cars with foreign number plates.

According to a presidential decree on measures to legalise vehicles, owners of cars imported into the country before 31 December 2024 and not registered must pay KGS 100,000. Now this amount can be borrowed through state banks.

This decision is aimed at simplifying administrative procedures and speeding up the process of legalisation of vehicles.

KGS sagged against all major currencies, except for the dollar and yuan. The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan updated the official exchange rates for 3 April 2025. Compared to the previous day, KGS weakened against the euro, Russian ruble, and tenge.
