    State budget collected almost 36 billion KGS: where the money came from in January

    According to the results of January 2025, the state budget of Kyrgyzstan was replenished by almost 36 billion KGS. The main part of this amount - 31.7 billion KGS (more than 88%) - was provided by tax revenues. The main revenues of the treasury were formed at the expense of value added tax (VAT), income tax and taxes on income and profit.

    Value Added Tax (VAT) brought the largest revenues to the budget - 13.5 billion KGS. The main part of this amount was VAT on imported goods, among which 5.3 billion KGS was on goods from third countries and 3.8 billion KGS - on products from EAEU countries. Domestic VAT on goods and services added another 4 bln KGS.

    Taxes on income and profit added 6.2 bln KGS to the treasury. This amount included income tax from resident individuals in the amount of 2.52 billion KGS, of which 2.49 billion came from tax agents. In addition, income tax brought in KGS 2.7 billion, a significant part of which - KGS 1.7 billion - came from mining companies.

    Excise tax provided other important tax revenues. It amounted to 856.5 million KGS, most of which came from the sale of alcohol and tobacco products. Property taxes replenished the budget by 328.3 million KGS, including fees for real estate and vehicles.

    Subsoil use taxes amounted to 526.8 million KGS, including royalties and bonuses. Revenues from international trade amounted to 3.8 billion KGS, with import duties accounting for 2.1 billion KGS.
