    More than 96 thousand tonnes of agricultural products were exported from Kyrgyzstan

    Over 96 thousand tonnes of agricultural products were exported from Kyrgyzstan in January-March this year. This is reported by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry.

    The total number of exported products was 18 million 199 thousand 493 units, and the total volume was 1 thousand 389 cubic metres.

    Among the products, seedlings accounted for the largest volume, totalling 5.7 million units.
    For example, flower seedlings - 4.9 million units, fruit seedlings - 697 thousand units, ornamental seedlings - 78 thousand units.

    Vegetables (except potatoes) were also exported from the country - 24.9 thousand tonnes, including cabbage, carrots, onions, garlic.

    In addition, pulses, nuts, fruits, also dried vegetables and fruits were exported.

    All products passed full quarantine phytosanitary control. Specialists of the Department of Chemicalisation, Plant Protection and Quarantine thoroughly checked each cargo, if necessary taking samples for laboratory tests. According to the results of inspections no quarantine pests were found in the products.

    As a result of inspections, 8,604 phytosanitary certificates were issued - a document confirming the safety and compliance of products with international phytosanitary standards.
