04/03/2025, 11:02First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to the Kyrgyz Republic Nicholas Bowler discussed the prospects of economic cooperation between the countries.
The meeting touched upon a number of key issues, including the implementation of the agreement with the British company United Concrete Canvas on the construction of a plant for the production of cement composite materials in Kyrgyzstan. This investment project is seen as a strategic step in the development of the country's industrial sector.
The British Ambassador also informed about the forthcoming visit to Bishkek of a delegation headed by Shebne Alp, Regional Head of the UK Export Credit Agency (UKEF). Within the framework of negotiations it is planned to discuss in detail the mechanisms of financing and support of joint investment projects.
Additionally, the parties noted the successful completion of the process of delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, emphasising its importance for economic stability in the region.
Kyrgyzstan and the UK expressed their readiness to further develop their partnership, including attracting British investment and expanding trade and economic co-operation.
