This project provides for an increase in monthly cash compensation for citizens who directly participated in military operations in Afghanistan, as well as those who took part in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident.
The document has already been submitted for consideration and approval to the relevant state bodies. If approved, the recalculation of these compensations will be made starting from 1 January 2025.
The ministry explains that this step is intended to provide additional support to veterans and liquidators who contributed to history through their actions, despite the natural decrease in their number and the need to support the remaining members of their families.
