The Housing Committee approved a bill to reduce the tax burden on the population and businesses

The Committee on Budget, Economic and Fiscal Policy approved in the first reading a bill “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic on Reducing the Tax Burden on the Population and Business Entities.” The document was initiated by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The bill provides for a number of measures to reduce the tax burden. In particular, it proposes to abolish the vehicle tax and exempt citizens and companies from tax obligations on vehicles accumulated before January 1, 2025, provided that there is no court order for collection.

Another initiative will be the establishment of a zero property tax rate for agricultural land. The exemption will be in effect from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2030.

The bill is aimed at supporting citizens and businesses, as well as stimulating the development of agriculture and simplifying tax administration.
