Minister of Energy Taalaibek Ibraev held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Kyrgyzstan Mrs. Liu Jiangping. From the Chinese side, the talks were also attended by the Counselor of the Embassy Li Baojie, Counselor for Trade and Economic Affairs Yu Zhigang, Third Secretary of the Embassy Zhang Feng and Assistant Ambassador Wang Zenan.

During the conversation, the parties discussed the strengthening of strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and China in the energy sector. Minister Ibraev noted that today Kyrgyz-Chinese relations have reached a historic level of cooperation, and active interaction in the field of green energy and coal industry is especially important.

One of the key aspects of the meeting was the discussion of project cooperation between the countries. It is specified that today Kyrgyzstan cooperates with 22 partners from China in the field of green energy and coal industry. These projects have a high potential for further infrastructure development and are strategically important for the long-term economic interests of the two countries. Within the framework of cooperation, special attention is paid to the introduction of innovative solutions, attraction of investments and creation of sustainable mechanisms of cooperation.

Chinese Ambassador Liu Jiangping, in turn, emphasized the importance of the meeting and expressed readiness to further deepen the partnership. She assured that she will actively promote the accelerated implementation of the signed agreements and monitor the activities of Chinese companies operating in Kyrgyzstan.
