The SCNS uncovered a large-scale corruption scheme in the sphere of land management in Naryn oblast related to illegal alienation of forest lands. It was established that the former director of Naryn forestry, abusing his official position, leased to his relative a land plot of 208.7 hectares.

Subsequently, with the help of a court decision and collusion with an employee of the cadastral service, an attempt was made to illegally register ownership of a part of the land, significantly exceeding the area specified in the court decision.

As a result of operational and search activities conducted by the SCNS, both key players in the corruption scheme - the former director of the forestry enterprise and an employee of the Naryn branch of the State Agency for Land Resources - were detained. The court chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention for one month. Investigative actions are being carried out to clarify all the circumstances of the case and to identify possible other participants in the criminal scheme.

As part of the criminal case initiated under the article “Corruption”, the illegally alienated land plot of 208.7 hectares together with the buildings and structures located on it was returned to the balance of the state. This emphasizes the determination of the authorities to fight corruption in the land sphere and protect the state interests.
