    Kyrgyzstan’s Domestic Debt in Government Bonds Decreased by KGS 2.1 Billion

    As of February 20, the volume of Kyrgyzstan’s government treasury bonds stood at KGS 175.9 billion. Over two days, the amount decreased by KGS 2.1 billion due to repayments on seven-year securities.

    On February 18, the internal debt placed in government bonds was estimated at KGS 178 billion. The decrease resulted from the repayment of a portion of long-term obligations.

    The main reduction was in seven-year bonds. On February 18, the debt for these securities was KGS 48.6 billion, but two days later, it had fallen to KGS 46.5 billion.

    This repayment covered bonds issued on February 16 and 19, amounting to KGS 2.1 billion. The funds were borrowed at an interest rate of 14.87%, with the maximum rate reaching 14.95%.
