    Kyrgyzstan has borrowed almost 5 billion KGS domestically

    Since the beginning of 2025, the Ministry of Finance has increased the volume of domestic debt by 4.68 billion KGS, bringing its total volume to 178.76 billion KGS. Government bonds and treasury bills are placed on two platforms - through the National Bank and, since May 2023, on the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange.

    The National Bank accounted for the bulk of funds raised - 4.69 billion KGS, while the KASE placed promissory notes for 301.1 million KGS.

    At the same time, during the same period, liabilities in the amount of 303.52 million KGS were repaid, including 210.38 million KGS on 5-year government bonds and 93.14 million KGS on 12-month promissory notes.

    Today, most of Kyrgyzstan's domestic debt is placed in 10-year bonds - 49.3 billion KGS, and 7-year securities - 47.9 billion KGS.
