04/02/2025, 08:20On the eve, April 1, 2025, in the building of the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, a meeting was held between the Chairman Baktybek Kudaibergenov and representatives of the World Bank Mission on Poverty and Equality, which is headed by Program Manager Obert Pimhidzaem.
The goal of the World Bank's program is to reduce poverty and promote general welfare through the introduction of data-driven policies, as well as social initiatives and economic reforms.
At the meeting, they discussed the development of a poverty map for the Kyrgyz Republic and preparations for the conference “Good Governance for Economic Development,” which will be held in June 2025 in Dushanbe. The National Statistical Committee, in cooperation with the Institute for Development Policy, is working to strengthen the link with civil society, which requires interagency coordination within the state working group on the Sanarip Aimak system.
NCstatcom has finalized the development of a system to produce disaggregated data used in statistical analysis. Further cooperation including measures to improve the collection and analysis of statistical data was also discussed.
Chairman of the National Statistical Committee Baktybek Kudaibergenov stated the readiness for active cooperation with the World Bank in order to successfully implement joint projects.
