Under an agreement with the Chinese corporation Anhui Ankai Automobile Company, two electric buses will be delivered to Bishkek.  Now the vehicles are at the Torugart Pass and will be sent to the capital after the necessary procedures.

Their purpose includes education and training of drivers, as well as demonstration of the latest transport technologies. The project is supported by the Asian Development Bank, and two trolleybus depots in Bishkek are being renovated to prepare the infrastructure.

Electric buses are scheduled to arrive in June 2025. The reconstruction includes installation of modern charging stations and adaptation of the depot for efficient operation of electric buses.
