10/03/2024, 14:10Today, on 3 October, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh in the first reading considered the draft law on amendments to the Code of the Kyrgyz Republic on non-tax revenues. The draft law provides for the introduction of new fees for road repair and maintenance.
Minister of Transport and Communications Absattar Syrgabaev said that fees for road repair will be levied on each litre of fuel and lubricants sold at petrol stations. The automated system of accounting and storage of oil products, which has been in place in Kyrgyzstan since 2020, will be used for this purpose.
Additionally, recycling fees will be introduced for the recycling of both new and used tyres and tyres, as well as for the recycling of lubricating oils. All collected funds will be channelled to the national budget and accumulated in the Road Fund under the Ministry of Transport.
