01/23/2025, 09:01The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has revised the forecast for nominal gross domestic product (GDP) for 2025. According to the updated data, the figure will amount to 1 trillion 624.1 billion soms, which is 159.7 billion soms higher than the previous estimate.
The Ministry of Finance explained that the adjustment was caused by changes in the socio-economic situation in the country and was prepared in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution of July 1, 2024.
The projected real GDP growth in 2025 will amount to 6%, which is higher than the previously approved level of 4.7%. However, compared to 2024, when economic growth reached 6.3%, a slight slowdown is expected this year. Thus, despite the improvement in the forecast, the Cabinet of Ministers anticipates a slowdown in economic growth in 2025.
