Kyrgyzstan's GDP growth in 2025 will exceed expectations, but will remain below the 2024 level

The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has revised the forecast for nominal gross domestic product (GDP) for 2025. According to the updated data, the figure will amount to 1 trillion 624.1 billion soms, which is 159.7 billion soms higher than the previous estimate.

The Ministry of Finance explained that the adjustment was caused by changes in the socio-economic situation in the country and was prepared in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution of July 1, 2024.

The projected real GDP growth in 2025 will amount to 6%, which is higher than the previously approved level of 4.7%. However, compared to 2024, when economic growth reached 6.3%, a slight slowdown is expected this year. Thus, despite the improvement in the forecast, the Cabinet of Ministers anticipates a slowdown in economic growth in 2025.
