12/17/2024, 13:14At a press conference, Kamchybek Tashiyev, head of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS), announced final figures on property and money returned to the state as part of the fight against corruption and organised criminal groups.
‘From October 2020 to the end of 2024, we have handed over to the state the entire accumulated amount of $2 billion 400 million,’ Tashiyev said, emphasising that this figure is final and intended to eliminate the discrepancies that appeared in the publications of various media outlets.
Tashiyev also assured that the fight against corruption will continue.
‘By the end of 2026, we will eradicate it completely. The main task of our service is to ensure that the Kyrgyz people lead a peaceful, stable, safe and dignified life,’ he concluded.
