11/17/2024, 13:49Today, November 17, the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov took part in voting at the elections of deputies of Bishkek City Kenesh.
The head of state voted at polling station #1046 in Bishkek.
After voting, Sadyr Zhaparov addressed the citizens, noting that the electoral system in the country has significantly improved and become transparent.
"We have automated the electoral system. Now the human factor in the counting of votes is excluded. The election results will be known in 20-30 minutes after the end of voting. Re-voting at another polling station is impossible, which eliminates the practices of the past, such as “carousels” and mass ballot stuffing,” the president emphasized.
The head of state urged citizens to actively participate in the elections.In turn, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov voted at polling station № 1142, located in the secondary school № 71 in Bishkek.
It should be noted that today the elections of deputies of local councils of Bishkek and Osh cities, as well as Batken, Jalal-Abad, Issyk-Kul, Naryn, Osh, Talas and Chui oblasts are held. 2 thousand 443 polling stations have been organized throughout the republic.
The elections of deputies of local councils are scheduled for November 17, 2024 in accordance with the presidential decree on dissolution of local councils and appointment of elections of deputies of local councils of Kyrgyzstan.
