Families of remote high-mountain villages will receive allowances for the birth of the third and subsequent children

President Sadyr Zhaparov signed amendments to the law on state benefits in Kyrgyzstan.

The law, adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on October 24 this year, is aimed at providing state social support to families living in high mountainous and hard-to-reach areas, including some border areas with special status.

According to the innovation, families who have a third and subsequent child will receive a monthly allowance from birth until the child reaches the age of three, regardless of their socio-economic status. This new form of support, known as the monthly allowance “biyik tooluu aymaktardyn jashoochularyn komok”, will be assigned and paid in accordance with the amount and procedure approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The law will come into force on January 1, 2026.
